McCain, Palin Beat Obama/Biden in Ratings War
Minus Greek columns and the cheers from the Press Corps, John McCain and his charismatic VP choice Governor Sarah Palin topped the Nielsen’s last week. From the Live Feed:
John McCain has won the ratings race.
The Republican nominee beat Democratic challenger Barack Obama’s record-setting convention speech viewership by 500,000.
McCain’s address at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night was seen by about 38.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Obama received 38.4 million.
Please recall that New Wars predicted last month John McCain’s strong stance against Russian aggression in Georgia would prove the turning point that Americans saw who had the right stuff to become commander in chief. This week, John McCain sealed the deal!
Also-Kevin Patrick at Blogs for Victory notes “The Republican convention was the most-watched convention on television ever (emphasis added), beating a standard set by the Democrats a week earlier.”
