Bailing Out Old Media

This is from Mark Steyn via NRO’s the Corner:

In her report on Moody’s possible downgrading of The New York Times to junk status, Michelle Malkin concludes with a throwaway line:

Anyone smelling a bailout plea coming on?

I hadn’t thought about it like that but now you mention it, it sounds all too plausible.

The reason the press are going to such shameless lengths to drag Obama across the finish line is because he’s their last best hope at restoring the old media environment, including a new Unfairness Doctrine for radio, and regulation of the Internet.

Hah! But you read it here first!
