Numerous reports on Twitter say Army troops are moving against protesters in Tehran.

11 PM Eastern-“The smoke rises from Teheran. The army is entering”

Appears the International Media is being kicked out of Iran.

12 PM Eastern-Reports of troops in Tehran suspicious, unconfirmed.

Someone said “CNN should stop getting its news from the government and Press TV

Several Twitters say 8 protestors killed last night.

2 PM Eastern-Yeah, the Media has been banned from reporting on Iran Election protests.

Reuters-State Dept says it pressed Twitter not to shut down for maintenance.

    You hope for too much. This is tiananmen all over again. , and the bad thing is, a (slight) majority probably supports the establishment there. Shots will be fired, people will be killed, emergency will be declared, and schools will be cracked down on. And in a couple of years, it’ll be like it never happened. And the Mullahs and Revolutionary Guard will still be firmly in control.

    I hope the Iranian people don’t back down, because a defeat here could turn back the democratic clock for decades. All the way! I wish the US was doing more to support them: http://www.newsy.com/videos/same_old_same_old
    Obama is obviously worried about his promised negotiations with the eventual winner, and is unwilling to endanger his relationship by supporting the other one.
