Virus

August 4, 2010

Not the computer, but yours truly is down with a flu virus. Can’t seem to wrap my head around a post this week, though I may have something later, and of course the Sea Links on Friday. Hope to be back in full form next week! Thanks for your continued interested and the ongoing discussions which I have been keeping up with.

I have tried green mint tea. Never had the red.

To the list of home remedies, I will add red teas, teas like red zinger, that contain hibiscus and resehips, which seem to strengthen the immune system. I drink them all the time and am seldom ever sick. Teas are inexpensive, and if they don’t help much, won’t harm you. In hot weather, I put a bottle of tea in the fridge and let it steep overnight.

So sorry to hear you’re ill. We miss you when you’re away. I recommend rum punch; full of vitamin C in the form of lime juice and delightfully restorative. Or Nyquil; that works too.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Get well Mike. You not posting daily has played havoc with my daily morning coffee routine. How inconsiderate of you.

    Mike,

I was wondering about the paucity of posting. Do get well and don’t catch my insomnia.

My prescription is to take two nurses and call an aspirin in the morning if you don’t feel better. Or something like that.

    Take care…
